Founded in 1955, Magrabi Hospitals & Centers began as the first private eye hospital in Jeddah and introduced sub-specialization in ophthalmology to the Middle East and Africa. Magrabi pioneered several ophthalmic surgeries in the region, including corneal transplants, intraocular lens implants, and LASIK. Dr. Mohammad Anwar of Magrabi discovered a method to reduce corneal transplant rejection. Today, Magrabi is the largest eye care network globally, treating over 1,000,000 patients and performing 100,000 surgeries annually across 32 locations in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Yemen, and Egypt. The hospital employs top doctors trained in the US and Europe and utilizes cutting-edge technology. Most of its facilities are accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI).
