Industries Qatar Q.P.S.C., established in 2003, operates in three key sectors: petrochemicals, fertilizer, and steel. It comprises four major companies and has expanded through investments in subsidiaries and joint ventures. Qatar Chemical and Petrochemical Marketing and Distribution Company Q.J.S.C. (Muntajat), wholly owned by the government, handles the global marketing of chemical and petrochemical products since November 2012. Industries Qatar's marketing, distribution, and selling activities, except for steel products, were transferred to Muntajat. QatarEnergy, the primary shareholder, provides head office functions. Each subsidiary and joint venture maintains independent management under their respective Boards of Directors and senior teams.
